Film: The Brave Patient

For human beings, life is meaningful because it is a story.
And in stories, endings matter.

Film 27:30 min

When you can no longer take for granted that you can do what you want to do. One day you realise you do not just want to continue life as usual: You start to think: what are my priorities, what do I still want from life and what shall I stop doing? How do patients and family doctors start this conversation?

A group of Amsterdam patients and family doctors made a film to make this conversation between patient and doctor easier, in order to make this subject a topic of conversation in the patient-doctor relation.

To whom this may be of interest

Patients, their relatives, family doctors, carers working in palliative care, nurses, etc, in short, all professionals dealing with this theme can watch the film and discuss how this conversation can become part of their daily practice. The film can be viewed free of charge.

Watch the film with a moderator

It is worthwhile to watch the film with a family doctor, who can act as a moderator of the discussion.
